many thanks to all who wished me happy bday, and those who gave me presents =D
co is in trouble. who is to blame?
the co chalet organised last year was way off the budget and they overspent due to some communication error. strictly in my opinion, the one who bought all the stuffs is to be blamed.
firstly, she didn't limit herself to the amount to be spent, but spend 300 over bucks on food. there's no exaggeration. 300 over on food for less than 30 people for a barbeque. furthermore, that amount does not include the rent of the chalet, which is 500 bucks, total-ing to 800 bucks.
next, she could have chosen some other cheaper chalets, or buy less or cheaper food for the bbq. she knew very well that the budget for the whole of the chalet was 500+, and yet she spend so much on food for so few people.
okay, what's done cannot be undone; what's spent cannot be retrieved.
so, shouldn't those who went for the chalet or bbq own up and rightfully pay for their share? there's some people hiding somewhere within the crowd, thinking that no one will notice them, and so they can escape from the payment. some others who owned up are refusing to pay for their share in the bbq and or chalet, because they think that they didn't eat or use so much and so they don't have to pay all the amount.
since they have gone for the chalet or bbq, they should pay for it. no one other than the person who bought the stuffs would have expect that the amount spent would be so large, and so no one would be willing to pay so much.
these people are really selfish. they think of only themselves, insisting that they shouldn't pay that amount. for once, think as co as a whole. if everyone insists that they need not pay that sum of money, who is going to pay for the remaining amount? who is going to determine who ate the most and so pay the most, or who ate the least and so pay the least? how much is the person going to pay for eating the most or the least?
do they really have to count until so exact?
