A day of glory, a day of grace

The dying words of Christ Jesus:

Luke 23:34
"Father forgive them, for they do not know what they are doing."
This is Christ Jesus' last prayer, and till this day, His prayer is heard. Hearts are opened, sins are forgiven.

Luke 23:43
"I tell you the truth, today you will be with me in paradise."
Just like the thieves who are crucified with Jesus, he who repents and believes will be forgiven and reunited with our heavenly Father.

John 19:26
"Dear woman, here is your son."
"Here is your mother."
Even at His weakest, even before His death, He places the concerns of others above Himself. Seeing his earthly mother looking at the crucifixion of her son, he told John to take his place as her son and take care of His mother.

Matt 27:46
"Eloi Eloi, lama sabachthani"
"My God my God, why have You forsaken me?"
Carrying the weight of our sins, He was forsaken, so that we can be forgiven.

John 19:28
"I am thirsty."
He was made thirsty, so that we can be quenched of thirst.

John 19:30
"It is finished."
The works of the cross have been finished. Our debts of sin have been paid on the cross. Christ deserved no death, yet He has done it.

Luke 23:46
"Father, into Your hands I commit my spirit."
Christ willingly be the sacrifice, and God is pleased with the sacrifice. The relationship is restored.

The day when Christ died is the greatest victory.

Even in death, God reigns.
