Humility

Watched a short video today, entitled 'Tomato'. It shows how we cling unto our own selves, refusing to let go to find out true selves.

On the vines, tomatoes take in the nutrients from the earth, grow, ripen, and are plucked out for us to eat. Seeds are then buried in the soil for them to grow and ripen again. The cycle goes on and on. To grow, die, grow, die, grow, die, grow ...
If we do not die, we'll never live and grow.
And so Jesus invites us to take on our cross and die, only so that we can live again.

The short clips in between shows the worldly desires we have and which we are guilty of. Impatience, anger, materialism, envy, greed, lust. These are just some of them, but they'll do.
They are everything we shouldn't be, but so often than not, we succumb to them, and do things so unpleasant to God.

So what is it that you're guilty of? What's stopping you from giving up your life? What is it that you can't let go?

Can you put yourself down, be a servant? Can you let go of your pride and take down your facade? Can you surrender and let Jesus take your life?

That which you cling unto so tightly, are the ones you're actually losing it.
